Starting from the lands near the town of Serradifalco, where everything began, we extended our research to the neighbouring areas to discover soils, varieties, exposures and microclimates able to express the characteristic of an unrepeatable uniqueness. Loam soils, sandy soils and chalky soils have been the inspiration for the creation of our three extra virgin olive olis: Arkè, Arkè Bio and Kora.
Arkè is the first born among our oils. It is so genuinely bound to the territory that it becomes an expression of its identity. It is produced from mid-mixture loam soils that give intensity and strength. These areas are near the towns of Caltanissetta, San Cataldo, Serradifalco and Delia. Arkè keeps the fingerprint of indigenous varieties like “Tonda Iblea”, “Nocellara dell’Etna”, “Giarraffa” perfectly set in a blend of a strong character.
Varieties: Tonda Iblea, Nocellara dell'Etna, Giarraffa - Altitude: 600 m a.s.l.
Arkè Bio is a single variety extra virgin olive oil produced from “Moresca” olives and it represents Arkè diamond point. It's cultivated in reddish, ferrous, sandy soils and the olive groves are located in the centre of Sicily. The perfect environment for “Moresca” olives is in fact in the area of San Cataldo, Pietraperzia and Barrafranca. These soils give elegant and excellently balanced flavours.
Varieties: Moresca - Altitude: 460 m a.s.l.
Kora represents our inclination to look beyond the borders and search for new opportunities. It draws inspiration from the Greek myth of Kore which is perfectly linked to the places not far from the Valley of the Temples. Calcareous soils give roundness and sweetness as well as an olfactory impact of great finesse.
Varieties: Nocellara del Belice, Cerasuola, Biancolilla - Altitude: 380 m a.s.l.
Arkè "PGI SICILIA" represents the synthesis of Sicilian territory, tradition and culture. It grows from the solid values of the island, from the landscapes and colors interweaving plains, mountains and hills, nestled in the blue sea. The majolica, with its different themes and colors, illustrates this diversity that blends harmoniously to create a unique decor, both simple and of great beauty. A set of colors and textures that, in the mosaic of aromas and flavors, gives the extra virgin olive oil a strong identity, immediately recognizable and of great value.
Varieties: Cerasuola 40%, Santagatese 40%, Biancolilla 20% (PGI Sicily Certification) - Altitude 500 m a.s.l.
